 Who We Are
LABLynx, Inc. is a privately owned, funded and managed company, based in Atlanta, GA. Our flagship product is the ELab Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), which is web browser-based and highly configurable to individual laboratory needs. Our software is a product of the fact that we come from a combination of IT professionals, and Laboratory professionals, with experience as chemists, lab project managers, laboratory QA/QC officers, commercial laboratory managers, and Chemical and Process Engineers. Additionally, LABLynx has been the leader in establishing the paradigm of the LIMS as a total laboratory solution, rather than just a means to track samples. The result is that LABLynx, Incorporated, is about you and your information and workload management…and how we can make life better for you.

Where We Came From
LABLynx, Inc. was the first Laboratory Informatics provider to deliver a true browser-based Laboratory Information Management Solution in 1997. LABLynx, Inc. was incorporated as an independently owned and operated software company in July 2000. LABLynx was once a product division of a diversified IT consulting company purchased by a group of investors experienced in both LIMS and Information Technology Management. The core LABLynx team has combined software development and laboratory management experience of over 75 man years invested in the initial release of the LABLynx ELab LIMS. |

Where We're Going
LABLynx knows that the technology foundation that is chosen for our customers' Informatics Solution, will directly impact its usefulness both now and in the future. That is why the LABLynx Informatics Server architecture and technology foundation protects our customers' investments in the present and as time progresses. LABLynx is built using industry standard tools and readily available components. It is an integration of multiple applications and components into a single cohesive framework. This offers our customers the flexibility to easily update or change their system as they see fit.
Based on recognition of the fact that web-based applications are the future, our head-start as the first web browser-based LIMS has put us in the position of industry leadership, allowing us to conceive and implement the next logical innovations ahead of any competitors. But more importantly, we are uniquely tuned to the informational needs of the laboratory industry, since our company comprises mainly people with a chemistry/laboratory background. From the beginning, like Charles Babbage with his Difference Engine (shown), LABLynx has taken a different approach to building our company. To better understand our customers' needs, we built a team of laboratory, engineering, and business professionals to help design and develop LIMS solutions that are used by laboratory professionals from all industries. Our team includes laboratory professionals with experience as chemists, lab project managers, laboratory QA/QC officers, commercial laboratory managers, and Chemical and Process Engineers. This experience allows us to better understand the processes, workflows, and mandatory regulatory requirements that all laboratories must observe. In the nearly 10 years we’ve been around we've taken our share of licks along with the successes, and we think that makes us stronger and more able to meet your needs. We've been in business long enough to know where the snags can be and how to avoid them. Winners don't make the same mistake twice...
We have found that our approach gives us the best chance for success, combining a large network of over a hundred Informatics professionals and solution providers with a small and efficient core business model. This powerful combination gives us the agility, versatility, and ability to provide personal service that being a small business affords, yet it also allows us to leverage the skills, knowledge and many other resources our network provides. Additionally, LABLynx, Inc. has not limited itself to one or two industries or types of labs. No more than 8-10% of our customer base is in any one given marketplace. Some of the environments the LABLynx LIMS is implemented in include the manufacturing, agricultural, water/wastewater, forensics, food & beverage, environmental, petrochemical and pharmaceutical industries This experience across a number of types of environments means that both the LABLynx LIMS and our personnel have become more robust and versatile over time, minimizing the potential new issues we may encounter as each has been addressed. And there is value in the synergy of an issue in one environment speaking to another area in a completely different install, and as the one is solved, so the overall product and associated services are improved exponentially.
